Emanate, a startup building AI software for industrial sales teams, has taken on new investment from Koch Disruptive Technologies, the venture arm of Koch Inc. The company was founded in 2025 by Kiara Nirghin, a Thiel Fellow, former Grand Prize winner of the Google Science Fair, and the youngest person to sit on the board of the Google Impact Fund.

Emanate's product is built as an engine rather than a chatbot or a simple assistant. It sits on top of a supplier's existing infrastructure and pulls together customer information that is normally scattered across separate systems into a single knowledge graph, then uses that view to reactivate dormant accounts, manage pricing, and look for expansion opportunities largely on its own. Nirghin has described the pitch to customers simply: point the engine at a business metric, and it works out how to move it.

The company calls its approach earned autonomy. Rather than handing the system full control from day one, Emanate has it operate under human oversight at first, with the engine gradually taking on more autonomous decision making only as it builds a track record of accurate calls.

Terms of the new Koch Disruptive Technologies investment were not disclosed by either side, and no valuation was given. It follows an earlier round in February 2026 that brought in Andreessen Horowitz, Peter Thiel, and Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian, also on undisclosed terms.

The Koch relationship goes beyond a check. Koch Inc. is the second largest privately held company in the United States, generating more than $125 billion a year across refineries, factories, supply chains, and logistics operations, and it is now also using Emanate's engine internally as a customer, though the companies have kept details of that deployment confidential. Emanate says customers running the engine have seen revenue gains of 60% to 80% compared with similar accounts that are not using it under otherwise comparable market conditions.
