The international development of Sima Couture began with a clear creative vision. In 2011, Silva Erkoc founded the company in Duisburg, establishing herself as its designer and central creative force. More than fifteen years later, she remains closely involved in the identity and direction of the house. Buket Kantekin, Managing Director and co-owner of Sima München GmbH, has played a complementary role in the company’s growth, managing the Munich operation in Eching and developing relationships with an international clientele. Their partnership illustrates how Sima Couture has combined family entrepreneurship with an increasingly global business structure.

The company’s expansion is reflected in its retail footprint. Sima Couture now operates four company-owned boutiques in Duisburg, Eching near Munich, Paris and Istanbul, supported by more than 90 retail partners in 30 countries. Production remains closely connected to the brand itself: Sima Couture develops its designs and manufactures its gowns in-house. Clients can order made-to-measure dresses and adapt individual details to create a more personal result. The Duisburg flagship provides more than 400 gowns for fittings in a 1,000-square-meter space, while the Paris boutique presents over 400 models across 600 square meters. A standard consultation takes around 1.5 hours, while bespoke production requires approximately three months.
Another important element of the company’s growth has been its increasing visibility beyond the traditional bridal market. Georgina Rodriguez, Daniella Chavez and Urvashi Rautela have all been associated with Sima Couture creations, while the latter wore a dramatic pink gown at Cannes in 2023. The brand also appeared at the Monte Carlo TV Festival, where Stephanie Durant wore a Sima Couture princess gown at the 2019 Golden Nymph Awards. These appearances helped introduce the label to audiences interested not only in bridalwear but also in celebrity fashion and evening couture.

In 2025, Sima Couture strengthened this positioning through two significant international platforms. At Cannes, Angelique Angarni Filopon, Miss France 2025, wore a white Sima Couture gown based on her own concept, developed together with the atelier through pearl detailing, sculptural draping and an asymmetric silhouette. The same year, the brand presented its collection at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, joining an official runway with more than 44 brands representing 18 countries. Its partnership with the Miss France competition further expanded the company’s profile. The Paris team under Nazli Mendes produced gowns for the 2025 event, including Angelique’s winning dress, and Sima Couture subsequently continued as an official partner of Miss France 2026.
The company’s reach continues to broaden through international events and editorial projects. At the Leipziger Opernball, Iryna Thater and Natalia Yegorova appeared in Sima Couture designs, while Bruna Biancardi featured in the brand for L’Officiel England in 2026. The figures tell a clear story: four boutiques, more than 90 retail partners and distribution across 30 countries. Yet Sima Couture’s growth has not changed the principle at the heart of Silva Erkoc’s original concept. Whether on a bridal stage or an international red carpet, the gown is designed to express the woman wearing it.
